Virginia McLaurin celebrated Black History Month in the best way possible.

The 106-year-old woman who lives in Washington, D.C. met President Obama and Michelle Obama at the White House over the weekend and to say she was excited would be an understatement of mammoth proportions.

She was as bubbly as an newly-opened can of seltzer, clearly enjoying the moment and telling Obama it was an "honor" to meet him.

It was a long time coming for McLaurin, whose efforts to meet the commander-in-chief date back to 2014 when she made a YouTube video expressing her desire to meet him. There was also a petition circulated to help her.

McLaurin, who's lived to see 18 presidents serve, finally got her moment and did not disappoint.

Her cheerful disposition is quite the departure from the antics of her fellow centenarian who captured the internet's heart recently for being a total stick in the mud.
