Glassdoor has come out with its annual list of the best jobs in America, which the site says it creates “by combining three key factors – number of job openings, salary and career opportunities rating.”

That pretty much eliminates astronaut, professional athlete and socialite. What remains? Well, the top job is the glamorous, the ritzy, the high-powered…data scientist? Yes, data scientist with its median base salary of nearly $117,000 topped the list.

Here’s a look at the 25 best jobs in America, along with median base salary. The moral? Give up those dreams of becoming a double threat in Hollywood, enroll in your local JC and major in something no one has ever heard of because the cash will start flowing.
